Yes, it's your editor, Joy Miller and art director/publisher, Ladd Miller, who formerly headed up Protooner (for 11 years).

Publishing the newsletter was presented with the intention of being a peppy monthly containing magazine markets and endless chuckles, for both the professional and beginning cartoonist
and gagwriter... and that it was.

One rewarding aspect for us was when contributions were received for the two-page spread we featured titled '10 Things You Didn't Know'. We all got to know each other in a humorous, but informative light and a good time was had by all.

Regretably, due to financial and health problems that were dealt out to us Millers', we were forced to place Protooner on a brief hiatus (March/2006), but always with the high hopes of resuming our publishing life.

This brings us current with our announcement of our new publication, OUT OF THE BOXX (OOTB). We made the decision to have OOTB available as a hardcopy issue based on the many repeated requests and expressions of enjoyment that folks got in holding a tangible copy in their hands to refer to at will.

Remember now, for all of you OOTB subscribers, this is YOUR publication, and we're at the helm to direct our cool stuff your way. But, that means you shouldn't be shy in sending us your materials to display for you and for all your peers to get a gander at... i.e., your cartoon book releases, web site addresses, cartoons, promo sheets, humor articles, business cards, etc.
